In a blog posted to the Libsyn website HERE, the team at Libsyn clarified two issues that have been floating around social media, and on several industry podcasts, about Libsyn’s stance on Adam Curry and Dave Jones’ Podcast 2.0 project and Rob Greenlee’s statement about The Podcast Academy.
On the Podcast 2.0 project: Libsyn quoted VP of Podcaster Relations Rob Walch from a recent appearance on the podcast Podland: “A_nd, and I think as a team, we are very supportive of what Adam is doing over there, with trying to come up with some new ideas in the medium. And, I do believe that we will probably ultimately wind up, supporting most, if not all of what’s going on over there_.”
There had been some question about whether or not Libsyn would support the project, which is still in the development stage. Adam Curry and Dave Jones have been working on Podcasting 2.0 for several months now and record a podcast about their progress every Friday (LISTEN). We also interviewed Dave Jones about the project (LISTEN).
On Rob Greenlee’s statement about leaving the Podcast Academy board. Libsyn says everything will be clarified tomorrow when Episode #184 of The Feed is released in which Greenlee will be a guest.
