New Hampshire Public Radio President has announced that Rebecca Lavoie has been promoted to the position of Director of On-Demand Audio. Lavoie joined NHPR in 2010 to produce the daily magazine program Word of Mouth and most recently served as Director of Audience & Engagement.
“Rebecca has nurtured an explosion of excellent journalism and inspired creativity throughout NHPR,” said Schachter. “Her keen editorial ear is evident in all the material produced under her leadership. Her deep roots in the community and knowledge of the podcast industry make her an essential contributor to our senior management team.”
Outside of NHPR, Lavoie is the creator and host of the popular _Crime Writers On… _podcast that reviews other podcasts, television, and true crime-adjacent media. She also hosts the Netflix podcast _You Can’t Make This Up. _Lavoie is a frequent speaker at conferences and events focusing on podcast strategy, industry trends, monetization, and audio journalism. She is the co-author of four mass market true crime titles.
