Ashley Carman of the Verge reports that the new free podcast hosting platform from PodcastOne called LaunchpadOne may insert two ads into every podcast and keep all revenue from them, and the ads could be a turn-off to listeners.
Additionally, she sees the obvious advantages of Amazon and Facebook jumping into the free hosting and monetization game with an easy-to-understand strategy of encouraging as many people as possible to start a podcast and make money off them.
