There are several reports out that Apple may be planning to release separate Music and Podcasts apps for the Mac.
According to Mac Rumors, software developer Steve Troughton-Smith tweeted that, based on evidence he’s discovered, Apple appears to be working on new UIKit-based Music, Podcasts, and Books apps for macOS, all three of which will join the TV app that Apple has said is in the works.
Cult of Mac says iTunes has morphed into a bloated beast over the last decade and should have been broken up years ago. The website also says Troughton-Smith built up a solid record discovering clues about future Apple products and software by digging into iOS and macOS code.
