Shira Moskowitz is the co-host of Counter Programming with Shira & Arielle. She tells PBJ that Counter Programming is a podcast that aims to bring levity to all that’s going on around us by way of discussing topics with the word “count” or “counter” in the title.
The second season of the show drops today, with a four-part series on countertops. After quartz, laminate, and recycled glass, Shira & Arielle will release a special episode featuring a female stonemason, who works with high-profile clients to create custom pieces for kitchens and bathrooms.
In the second series of season they’ll cover songs and bands with the word count or counter in the title including Beyoncé’s Countdown and Counting Crows.
Their final series will cover Counts and Countesses like Sophie, the Countess of Wessex.
Each series will be a mix of historical context, fun facts, and personal anecdotes.
Shira and Arielle started their podcast last April as a way of distracting themselves (and others) from COVID-19 news. They’ve now been going strong for a year and they were even featured on Apple Podcasts’ New & Noteworthy section over the summer, which brought them thousands of new listeners and fans.
