iHeartMedia announced a partnership with Hollywood producer Will Packer’s company Will Packer Media to produce both scripted and unscripted podcasts for the iHeartPodcast Network.
Packer produced the hit films Straight Outta Compton, Girls Trip, Stomp the Yard, and Ride Along among others as well as the Roots remake series for A&E.
Packer previously worked with iHeart on the podcast series Fight Night, about an incredible heist that took place in Atlanta, Georgia after Muhammad Ali’s return to the ring on October 26, 1970.
“Will Packer is one of the most groundbreaking storytellers working today," says iHeartPodcast Network president Conal Byrne. “He has such an incredible track record across film, television, and digital media - and we cannot wait to see what sort of stories he creates for the more than 100MM Americans now listening to podcasts every month.”
