iHeartRadio has over 800 radio stations across the United States. The company is not shy about using those radio stations to promote its podcasts. Last week iHeart ran 71,630 commercials to promote The Forgotten Women of Juarez and 42,994 ads to promote The Daily Zeitgeist.
The commercial count, provided by Media Monitors, also include national radio advertisers. The 71,630 ads iHeart aired dwarfed the top national radio advertiser (Progressive Insurance) by 18,000 ads.
iHeart also ran over 38,000 commercials on its station to promote the iHeartRadio app.
