iHeart will be getting some ink about its podcasts. In a deal with Flatiron Books, four books will be published about iHeart podcasts.
Flatiron Executive Director Sarah Murphy will lead the effort and publish a minimum of one book per year. To start, it will feature titles based on iHeart’s curiosity shows including “Stuff You Missed in History Class,” “Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know,” and “Stuff Mom Never Told You.” Additionally, Imprint, a part of Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, will publish young reader editions of the books.
The first book will be called STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW: An Incomplete Compendium of Mostly Interesting Things, by Josh Clark and Chuck Bryant, hosts of the iHeartPodcast Network’s podcast “Stuff You Should Know” In the book, Clark and Bryant answer all the questions readers didn’t know they wanted to ask, from the origin of Murphy beds, to the history of facial hair, to the psychology of being lost.
