On the Podtrac August top ten publishers chart, iHeartRadio has taken the number one spot from NPR. With 258 active shows, iHeartRadio racked up a unique monthly audience of 23.1 million. NPR’s 61 shows pulled in 22.7 million. PRX held on to the number three position with 10.7 million from its 83 podcasts. The 4th and 5th positions remained the same with The New York Times pulling in an audience 9.3 million from 9 shows and Wondery’s 82 podcasts netting 9.26 million.
iHeartRadio has seen a more than 300% increase in unique podcast visits year-over-year.
