Hubbard Broadcasting is partnering with Twin Cities Hall of Fame radio personality Tom Barnard on a new, multi-platform show.
The Tom Barnard Podcast will stream live from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. weekdays, with an on-demand version of the program available as a podcast and on-demand audio afterward.
“This is an incredible opportunity for Hubbard Radio,” Dan Seeman, the region manager and vice president for Hubbard’s Minnesota stations, said in a statement. “Tom is a Twin Cities radio legend. With this partnership, Tom’s legions of listeners and fans will be able to listen to this iconic personality on multiple digital channels, both live and on-demand.”
The program will feature Barnard and an ensemble of radio talent, including a co-host, a producer and other on-air contributors.
“I still love this business and love my listeners and clients,” Barnard said. “The opportunity with Hubbard comes at the perfect time in my career, and I look forward to reaching new and old listeners through streaming and podcasting.”
Barnard is a 50-year veteran of the business. He hosted The Tom Barnard Morning Show on KQRS (92.5 FM) in Minneapolis for 37 years; he was inducted into the national Radio Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Minnesota Broadcasters Hall of Fame the following year.
