PodiconGo, a Family Friendly Podcasting Network has launched the Family Friendly Podcast Awards. PodiconGo, formed in 2019, is a podcasting community representing podcast creators dedicated to creating a reliable corner of the internet for podcasts that everyone can enjoy – ranging from animal facts, to stories, to audio dramas, to RPG actual-plays, and more.

Brad Zimmerman, Co-Chair of the FFPA and creator of the Gigantic Adventures of Jeff and Simon says, “From brilliant storytelling, rousing humor and narrative shows that dare us to think differently, Podcast creators make us laugh, teach us, encourage us and entertain in amazing ways. While not all podcasts are suitable for all audiences, there are hundreds of fantastic Podcasts that are dedicated to delivering family appropriate content all around the world, and we decided to make a home for them. Now, we want to recognize those efforts.”

The award nomination process will take place via a virtual voting platform and will be open to nominations by show listeners from November 1, 2020 through November 30, 2020. Winners will e announced in January. Nominations may not be presented by podcast owners, actors or patron’s who may have a vested interest in the show’s success.

Nominations are encouraged to come from listeners of the show. Once nominations are received, information will be collated by an internal data science team led by Co-Chair Bhavneet Athwal of the Drive with Us Podcast and presented to an independent panel of judges who will validate and score each nominee against three core criteria: Production Quality, Content Suitability and Fun Factor. More information on the nomination and judging process can be found online at: (https://www.podicongo.com/awardsinfo.html)
