Walter Woods, who was recently released from San Quentin State Prison, was the co-host of “Ear Hustle,” a podcast documenting life behind bars. Since his release, according to The Republic, Woods has been hired as a full-time producer for “Ear Hustle.”
Woods was serving 31-years-to-life for attempted armed robbery. Governor Jerry Brown commuted Woods’ sentence citing his leadership in helping other inmates and his work at “Ear Hustle.”
“Ear Hustle” launched in 2017 and its 30 episodes have been downloaded 20 million times.
