After a 20-year run on WEEI in Boston, Gerry Callahan was let go by Entercom back in July, as the station decided to go in another direction. On Monday Callahan released his first podcast episode. The plan is for 4 shows per week.

She number one covered sports, pop culture and politics which is what Callahan liked to talk about on his radio show. Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globe Monologue, the airstrike that killed Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani and Tom Brady were the topics of show number one.

Callahan was joined by Alex Reimer, who was suspended indefinitely by Entercom back in January of 2019 after making disparaging remarks about Tom Brady’s daughter. In August Reimer announced he was leaving radio to take a job at the State House as the Director of Communications for Sen. Eric Lesser.
