American Public Media has hired an editor for their APM Podcasts. Phyllis Fletcher comes from NPR where she has been the Northwest Bureau Chief. She will officially start with APM on March 11 and will continue to be based in Seattle.
Fletcher has years experience as a journalist — the first half as a reporter and the second half as an editor in local, regional, and national newsrooms. She has worked as a mentor to emerging journalists with Next Generation Radio, as a presenter at the Third Coast Audio Festival, as a coach at the Public Radio News Directors, Inc. conference, and in classrooms, newsrooms, and auditoriums across the country.
