Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel released her latest episode of Broadband Conversations, a podcast where she talks to women from across the technology, innovation, and media sectors.
In Thursday’s episode, Commissioner Rosenworcel talked to two women who have revolutionized the way kids—and adults too—are learning how to code and build in the digital age. Samantha John and Jocelyn Leavitt are co-founders of Hopscotch, an app that allows users to code and design games, art, and animations on their hand-held devices.
The episode is available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and the FCC website.
“Samantha and Jocelyn have built a platform that not only teaches kids how to code but also should signal to all of us that coding is no longer reserved for software engineers in Silicon Valley," said Rosenworcel. “In this episode, listeners will learn from two women entrepreneurs about how they built Hopscotch, what challenges they faced along the way, and what advice they’d give anyone looking to start something new.”
