Apple Insider is reporting that the company did indeed offer National Public Radio feedback on its RAD podcast analytics system. That’s a point NPR’s Brian Moffett did not mention to PBJ when we interviewed him about RAD back on December 11.
Apple has not said anything publicly about supporting RAD in any way.
According to the Apple Insider report Apple employees actually had a hand in the development of RAD. There are no details on exactly what Apple employees shared with NPR
Most podcasting experts believe that in order for the new system to become the accepted currency among advertisers, Apple has to support it. Advertisers now place buys based on downloads and listens.
