The 200th episode drops Tuesday, July 16. The podcast is hosted by noted author and commentator David Rothkopf, who launched the show in 2017 with regular guests Rosa Brooks of Georgetown University Law Center, Kori Schake of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, David Sanger of the New York Times and Edward Luce, of the Financial Times. They are regularly joined by leading commentators and newsmakers.
The DSR Network has also presented Deep State Radio Live in an election night performance at New York City’s famed Comedy Cellar, and this September will launch a monthly series of DSR Live performances there running through election night 2020. The DSR Network website also includes blogs, membership opportunities, and a store offering DSR-branded products for fans of the show.
“Deep State Radio is the insider perspective on American national security and foreign policy that you can’t find anywhere else,” said David Rothkopf. “One special objective of Deep State Radio is not just to offer the views of the insiders to whom others turn for expertise, but to also seek out new voices—and to do so in a way that more mainstream shows do not—by offering a wide range of perspectives. We aim to offer not only smart insights but the kind of candor and free-wheeling discussions you would find over dinner with friends, and we think that’s one of the reasons the podcasts have become so popular over the past two years.”
