“The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power Podcast” is the new companion series to the Amazon Prime series. The episodes are hosted by Felicia Day and features interviews with the cast, crew and show creators Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne.
“There’s a lot of canon here and season one is a place where there’s an enormous amount of invention happening between tent poles and the canon. Season two is a lot more cannon that we’re interested in adapting and bringing to life," said McKay.
McKay reveals that more seasons of the show are in the works. “There is a long-term plan with tent pole moments along the way and a very specific and clear endpoint. And that goes not just for sort of big narrative plot lore things, but also for character arcs. But you wanna leave enough wiggle room along the way for discovery and for surprise and for taking advantage of unexpected things that you discover along the way.”
