Consumer Packaged Goods CEOs are Podcasting

Forbes contributor Douglas Yu reports on how podcasting has grown among entrepreneurs in the packaged goods industry or CPG for short.

Among a few CEOs Yu talked to, Hint beverage CEO Kara Goldin says that “Consumers have always preferred products that come from people they can identify with or at least respect.” She feels the messaging in podcasts from founders should come directly from them and not be outsourced so as to sound authentic.

Dream Pops’ founder David Greenfeld adds that “CPG brands need to realize that they are media and content companies.”

As is so often the case in podcasting, authenticity is the key to success.
