And that stands for “Audio Monetization & Integration Engine.” It’s the first of a three-module release series from distribution platform Captivate for independent creators.

CEO Mark Asquith says the The system allows podcast creators to manage their own internal cross-promotion and self-sourced advertisements by integrating them dynamically into pre-roll, post-roll and mid-roll slots.

Captivate’s CTO, Kieran McKeefery, says this is “a gateway to even more opportunities for the serious everyday podcast creator” whilst focusing on giving podcasters diversity in monetization options over the long term.

squith adds that “Captivate’s dynamic content & ad platform has been developed in a three-module manner to allow the serious indie podcaster to acclimate to this previously complex technology and to benefit from its use, before committing to a focused path to monetizing their audio influence.”

Modules two and three are in alpha testing currently, with a release coming in Q1 2022. AMIE module one is available now to podcasters on the Captivate beta program, with a wider public release on November 16th.

As part of this rollout, Captivate has also released bulk editing tools to help podcasters manage their dynamic content quickly and efficiently.
