Blk Pod Collective has reiterated its commitment to filling the void of adequate representation for Black creatives within the audio industry with the launch of an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for its Blk Podfest 2022. The campaign to raise $60,000 officially went live today.

The theme for the 2022 conference is “The Atlanta Experience.” The event is a podcast conference for aspiring and current Black audio creatives, giving them a platform to share their knowledge, develop new skills, and create lasting partnerships.

The fundraising campaign to raise $60,000 officially went live on Monday, August 2, 2021, as Blk Pod Collective continues in the pursuit of providing education and support for Black audio creatives. The Atlanta Experience is a 2-day event that will serve as a hub for Black audio creatives and service providers to come together, connect, grow, and ultimately help amplify Black voices.

Blk Podfest launched in 2020 with the first conference seeing over 800 attendees join virtually, and featured speakers from Kenya and Egypt sharing ways to connect with audio creatives in Africa, and discussions on diversifying the industry. The 2021 event was an all-day virtual summit that had 1,300+ attendees from different parts of the world, featuring sessions on Accounting for Creatives, Legalities for Podcasters, to Ways to Secure a Job within the industry.

The Atlanta Experience is the first live and in-person version of Blk Podfest and will occur May 28-29, 2022. In addition to getting insights on best practices from marketing to audience engagement, attendees will also get to experience Atlanta, with live DJ sets, Black-owned food trucks, and much more. It will ensure you get to experience all the city has to offer.
