And The Winner Is…

3

Congratulations to Dave Clements from Logansport, IN. Dave is the winner of the Podcast Business Journal contest that ended this week. We partnered with Broadcast Supply Worldwide to give away the ultimate professional podcast setup. Here’s more about Dave and what he won…

“My podcast is called GEEK THIS and it’s a pop culture review show. It can be found at geekthispodcast.com (where I have links to directories and apps to listen). It’s a weekly show in which I discuss the things I’m most excited and passionate about in entertainment — namely comics and superhero movies. The name says it all, really. I’ve been doing it with varying degrees of consistency since December 2012.

“Winning this podcast package from the Podcast Business Journal gives me the ability to expand what I’m doing. That seems like a pat answer, but when I started my podcast I had always envisioned it as more of a discussion between friends and fans. Unfortunately, I never really had the gear to bring in more than one person at a time without losing audio quality. Right now I’m plugging a $20 microphone I bought from Amazon years ago, into an H4N Pro and then editing in an old version of Audacity. It’s not terrible, but I’ve always wanted better. This package allows me to grab more people and maybe even talk my co-hosts into doing the show again, since they’ll have their own fancy microphones.”

And Dave threw in a nice little quote about us. Ah shucks, thanks Dave…

Podcast Business Journal allows me to stay up-to-date on what’s going on in the industry. I see new podcasters struggling to know what information to follow when it comes to not only making good content, but making a successful show. The contributors to Podcast Business Journal are leaders in the industry. Each and every one of them are people I have come to trust over the years. There’s a real powerhouse of knowledge here and I appreciate that as a creator, listener, and as someone who works in the podcasting field.”

Here’s exactly what Dave will soon have in his nice new podcasting studio:
