iHeartMedia and EEP Universe have launched “Nicki Fix’s Time Mix,” an iHeartRadio Original scripted podcast for teens and young adults.
The music-themed time travel comedy set in the 1990s will launch with two episodes on October 19, with subsequent episodes airing weekly on Wednesdays. Listeners can tune in to the official trailer here.
“Nicki Fix’s Time Mix” is a twelve-episode scripted series that follows aspiring pop star Nicki Fix and her two best friends as they try to save their local roller rink – and only performance venue – from destruction at the hands of a nefarious developer. When a freak accident blasts them back to 1996, they’ll have to navigate ancient tech, strange customs, and team up with younger versions of the adults in their lives to set things right. The production features original music by series writer Natalia Yanchak and Murray Lightburn of the Canadian indie rock band The Dears, and a special appearance by Babydaddy of the American glam rock band Scissor Sisters in a supporting role. Head Writer Cecil Castelucci was known as Cecil Seaskull in the ‘90s indie band Nerdy Girl.

“Nicki Fix’s Time Mix” will join three other iHeartPodcast series as part of iHeartMedia and EEP’s overall slate deal featuring strong female characters and compelling storytelling for young adult listeners. Previous shows launched together include the political thriller “Daughters of DC,” the scripted mystery series “Lethal Lit,” and the teen horror “See You In Your Nightmares.”
