Everyone is buzzing about this one. Bloomberg says that Amazon Music has signed a deal with the Smartless podcast hosted by Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes for between $60 and 80 million that gives them one-week exclusivity for episodes.
Since Amazon previously purchased Wondery, Smartless will be exclusive for one week per episode on the Wondery+ subscription service as well. The early releases will start on August 1st and the deal will allow Amazon to partner on future shows with the Smartless team.
