The Verge reporter Ashley Carman lets us know that Amazon Music is buying the podcast hosting and advertising company Art19 which combined with its purchase of Wondery will let them handle most aspects of podcasting in-house.
Ashley believes these two purchases put them on a collision course with Spotify and iHeartMedia for supremacy in the podcasting space.
