Rewritten & Reclaimed, a six-part serial podcast unearthing the mysteries and the stories behind the Tulsa Massacre, is the latest show to join the Acast Creator Network. Produced by gal-dem, the new series will be hosted, distributed and monetised by Acast.
Rewritten & Reclaimed will launch on 7th December , with critic and writer Clarkisha Kent examining the lead up to the horrific event — guiding listeners through each episode to unravel and dispel the myths that saw the state-sanctioned massacre morph over time into what many now know as the demolition of ‘Black Wall Street’.
The podcast will feature voices from descendants of survivors, politicians, historians, and academics from both the UK and US, who will help listeners dig up what has been lost and buried over the past 100 years — and what parallels we have in today’s society with regards to state violence and racism.
