The milestone episode will air today. And that makes it 6 1/2 years the award-winning weekly podcast’s host Maurice Cherry has been interviewing some of the best Black graphic designers, web designers, and web developers from around the world.
On the 300th episode, Cherry talks to Hannah Beachler, the first Black person to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Production Design (Black Panther), and the first to win it as well. Her work includes Fruitvale Station, Creed, Moonlight, Beyoncé’s video for the song “Lemonade,” as well as the On The Run II tour with Beyoncé and Jay Z. Beachler shares how she prepares for working on films, what life is like after winning an Oscar, and how she stays inspired.
